MODEL - KYRA BORG

PHOTOGRAPHER - LEYLA RAZAVI

MAKEUP - KRISTINA ZAMMIT

COVER EDIT - KRISTINA ZAMMIT

Products I used to create the makeup -

Eyes - Mac Clarity and Bang on blue eyeshadows as a base. Blue colour from the Imagic palette packed ontop blended out with tilt eyeshadow from Mac.

Inner corner of the eye and lower lash line is a mix of tilt eyeshadow from mac and Green makeup revolution pigment (shade Rivalry). Along with Golden lights makeup revolution highlighter in the inner corner of the eye. L'Oreal Cobalt blue Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner on the lower and upper waterline. Mac Haute and Naughty mascara on the upper and lower lashes. I then applied false eyelashes however I removed them right away as they seemed to ruin the whole look as that was all you could see.

Eyebrows - Makeup Revolution ultra aqua brow tint in the shade medium. Mac clear brow set ontop.

Foundation - L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation in the shade 125 mixed with Chanel Perfection Lumiere in the shade B40.

Powder - Mac studio fix powder in the shade NC25 (Only on parts of the T zone)

Highlighter - Makeup Revolution Golden lights highlighter on the high points of the face (top of cheek bones, bridge of the nose, cupids bow, under the eyebrows)

Contour - Anastastia beverly hills cream contour kit in the medium shade and using the last two dark colours to contour the cheek bones, forehead and nose. Followed by the makeup revolution powder contour pallette also taking the two darker shades and placing them ontop

Lips - Mac oak lip liner (lightly put on) with Mac clear lipglass placed ontop.

Hair - Her natural hair is very curly therefore I had to blowdry it and further straighten it. I did this on ready dried hair. I then created two inverted french braids on equal sides of her head. I secured them by backcombing the bottom of her braids and then neating them up. I did it this way as I didn't want the bands to show in any way and Kanika had told us to create them this way in order to prevent them from showing. I finished the look off with some L'Oreal shine styling spray and also some L'Oreal studio pro hairspray.

Over all I feel like this was an amazing learning experience. I do feel gutted that I did not take any backstage photos however I did this whilst the photographer was on a paid job herself and It was slightly rushed therefore the last thing I remembered was to take any backstage photos. I was set up on the side on a very small table with very minimal lighting therefore I am very proud of what I managed to achieve as It also felt like a real learning experience. The model was a friend from Malta who I thought had the perfect look for a magazine cover. I found it quite hard to find a photographer as I wanted to do it on the speicific weekend that my friend was here from Malta as I didnt want to miss that opportunity of using her as a model. After my modelmayhem photographer cancelled, my friend recommended me last minute to her friend Leyla who is a London based photographer. As I said earlier she was on the job that day however seeing as I was so desperate to do it then with my model, she invited me over. I am very happy with the way it turned out and it's been a real good learning curve.
