And finally, last but certainly not least is the one I have chosen to do in my assessment which is on the 7th of December.
"The clothes were almost impossible to describe: long shorts and matador jackets, jet-embroidered tail coats and Victorian gowns of tulle and silk could have been taken from a scene in The Piano. The models were like disturbing children in the fancy dress of a shipwreck – a brilliant match to the backdrop of the weather outside. The programme notes offered no further elucidation than dress, hoodie, jacket, sweatshirt – it will have to be seen to be believed."

The Make-up artist was Dick Page. He layered a soft, cool blue with a vivid bright shade of the hue over eyelids. Skin was kept fresh with sheer coverage foundation and just a light dusting of powder to mattify. In comparison, the hair had much more of a grungy feel courtesy of hair stylist extraordinaire, Guido Palau and Redken’s Full Force 23 spray. The Inspiration: Playing with shades and tones, Dick Page wanted to create a crescent of bright blue set against clean, almost transparent skin for a fresh finish. Key Products for the hair: Redken Full Force 23 spray For make-up: Shiseido Cream Eye Color in Ice; Limited Edition Eye Color Bar and Sheer and Perfect Foundation

Moody vibe, slimline shapes and an altogether gothic feel with this SS14 collection. I love the 19th-century-esque clothes and the shaggy wigs and I really do love the make-up as it's different and the blue stands out in comparison to the simple/ light face. Since this catwalk, a lot of colourful eyeliner has been seen more in highstreet.
Cara also made an appearance in this show. Perfectly closing it off and looking bold. I loved the brows and boyish top + feline eyes, she really suited this look.

They wanted the makeup to be very fresh as the clothes were very dark and bold, they didn’t want to take anything away from the clothes which I think they managed to achieve.The hair was made to look like someone had just let a child cut their hair with blunt uneven fridges + made to look hard and dirty. I loved this show I think it really showed off the marc jacobs ss14 collection in a very punky and different way.
I have chosen to do this in my assessment as I really love the way it was created. I love challenging myself as well as enjoying it and the other 3 looks were too simple for my liking. I find eye make-up more challenging than lips and therefore I have chosen to this. I will be using more affordable products to create this look and hopefully I will still manage to achieve the perfect look.

Practise Pictures ;
Foundation and Eyeliner only done

This was our practise lesson on Monday the 30th of November which was the lesson before our final assessment. For the brows I first filled them in using D16 from the derma palette as my models brows were not equal. I then realised that it was definitely too defined and dark for this specific look so I corrected them by brushing some foundation through and I loved the way it turned out.
Filled in brows

Faded / more natural brows

Below are some pictures of my FINAL result of my assessment on 07.12.15

I started off with the foundation which was Face and body in the shade C2 mixed with Loreal 24 hour infallible in the shade radient beige. I then started the eyes rather than doing the concealer ect since the eyes are the main part of the look and incase of any mistakes or fall out. I think I did pretty well with the shape of the eyeliner. Out of the two eyeliner looks from the actual show, I chose to do the teal colour. I then applied the concealer, I used loreals true match concealer in the shade vanilla. I then put some strobe cream down the bridge of the nose and the cupids bow and then I powdered it where necessary using Sephora's translucent powder. I did this as even though the look is mostly matte, there is still some sheen in certain areas. I then contoured slightly using Mac shape and sculpt powders in the shades shadester and shadowy.
For the assessment I brushed up the brows using clear brow gel rather than filling them in like I did in the practise lesson which gave out a much better look.
Finally I used blankety by mac for the lips with a slight mix of strobe cream.

Overall, I think it was a massive improvement from the week before. I used a new eyeliner (Loreal silkissime eyeliner in the shade Turquoise Authentique) rather than Maybelines colour show blue eyeliner which had dried out. Also for the practise lesson I used the derma palette as concealer which seemed to have been too dry for my model therefore I changed it up and used loreal's true match concealer which really made an amazing difference for the undereyes.
I struggled slightly with getting the eyeliner equal. Being as I am so picky with my work and I wanted it to be perfect, kept tryint to correct it and it took up a lot of time. However I managed to stay calm and get it as I wanted it to look. I feel like the pigment of the eyeliner turned out to be really vibrant which for a catwalk look like this is necessary seeing as it is the main focus of the look and everything else is so seamless. With the base of the face, I am happy with the way I managed to match her skin perfectly and get the foundation to look as if there was nothing on which is also great for a catwalk look, they love it. I am proud of what I managed to achieve and I loved the whole learning process and I am excited to take on challenges in the next term :)
