Charlie Green is considered the Betsey Johnson of the make up artists’ world. Charlie Green may have what many may consider as having unusual designs, but she is actually just one true artist who uses a woman’s face as her canvas and who does not allow herself to get tied down to any strict rule when it comes to applying make up. She has been in the business for 20 years, prepping stars for the red carpet and readying models for magazine covers.

Just one glance at her and you will immediately see her free spirit ways, as she always sports bright lipsticks and platinum blonde hair to complement her wacky personality.

She has an extremely active imagination, which she translates into her creative juices and I absolutely love that about her! Top fashion companies and celebrities seem to agree.

Among Green’s clients are Ann Taylor, Esprit, Estee Lauder, Fendi, Guess, L’Oreal, Lancôme, Maybelline, Oil of Olay, Revlon, Victoria’s Secret and Wella. Celebrities she has done include Alicia Keys, Angelina Jolie, Celine Dion, Charlize Theron, Elizabeth Hurley, Julia Stiles, Kate Beckinsale, Katie Holmes, Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, Paris Hilton, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek and Shania Twain.

Her personal mission is to ‘Educate, Inspire, Instruct & Mentor.’ She says, “a creative mind never sleeps, and has a memory full of screenshots and flavorful images…so limit time spent looking at those cellphones!”

I love the creativity in her work. The colours, the diamonte beeds it just screams fun to me. I also love the fact that she doesn't need to follow trends to get it right. She is her own person and expresses it out in her work.
