I am extreamly intrigued by innovative, creative 'avante garde' style of makeup artistry. I have been into art ever since I was about 5 years old, therefore bland things never stand out to me i'm afraid! I love colour, over the top, dramatic makeup... This is the reason why Pat Mcgrath is my FAVOURITE makeup artist, because she never fails to deliver just that. For years now she has graced the covers of Vogue Italia and many more, been backstage at the worlds most famous fashion designers such as Lanvin, Mulberry, Chanel the list goes on... For Vogue to label her as 'the most influential makeup artist, in the ENTIRE world' she so must be!
Below are some of my favourtite looks she created

I just love that her work is never boring. Even if she creates something more on the natural side like the first image above, She still manages to wow.

Path's secret to seamless foundation ...
" I always apply with a brush, and I use my fingers to blend. When you put on foundation with a brush, it's a heavy finish—but if you use a brush and then blend, it looks more like a moisturizer, and much prettier. Then add concealer—applied with a fine brush—to the problem areas afterward. "
Pat is currently Global Cosmetics Creative Design Director for Procter and Gamble behind some of the world’s most glamorous and powerful make up brand names ; Max Factor, CoverGirl and the recently launched Dolce and Gabanna. Previously, Giorgio Armani hired Pat to design his makeup line. Constantly in demand by top celebrities such as Madonna, Oprah, Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Aniston Pat McGrath’s editorial work with top photographers like Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue and American Vogue continually breaks new ground. She collaborates on major fashion advertising campaigns such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Versace, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, YSL and Lanvin. She also dispenses her sought after knowledge in the expert advice pages of Allure and as a Beauty Director of i-D magazine. Pat currently creates the catwalk make up for a plethora of world class designers including: Prada, Miu Miu Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga Christian Dior, John Galliano, Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Valentino, Dolce & Gabanna and many more.
I find all this insanely inspirational. Her ideas are always so fresh and innovative. Everytime I see her work, she makes me want to go out and do something amazing ; create amazing make-up work.
