Zac Posen SS15 NYFW

Zac Posen always delivers feminine sexy. For SS15 he took it to classics: dresses with minimal volume, suits that didn’t scream “boring dead-end job,” and even a wedding gown – every girl’s dream.

Zac Posen that never fails to pull out all the glamorous stops, and this season he did it with suits. We’ve all seen Miranda from Sex and the City. She wears pantsuits that doesn’t exactly scream feminine sensualism. Yet Posen has created looks for today’s working woman without ruining a fantasy.

The hair stylist was Odile Gilbert for Keratese and Kabuki for Mac was the lead makeup artist. The make-up and hair are both sleek and sexy. The lip was created using Mac Lipmix. I love how bold it looks and very classy. The models had a glassy look to them which really stood out. The eyelids were glossy with flawless foundation, nicely highlighted and minimal brozer on high points of the cheeks. With minimal eyeliner and mascara, the look was fairy natural in contast to the bold lips.

The hair was nicely slicked back with a slight quiff towards one side. The back was messyily done rather than being striaght to give it texture. This gave a classy look however as if she did not try too much. Some of the models wore beautiful bold sun glasses which I think looked very good with the red lips. Also, the red lip has now been seen more often. It had faded out of the lime light and feels like it is coming back in again slowly. For example in the recent missioni campaign. Missioni is known for usually displaying a nude lip however has now come out with this campaign which features a red lip. I attached an image below.

Zac Posen decided to give up on one of the most iconic attribute to the season .. floral prints, and he bet only on bright colours – with the focus of the classic red, white and, of course, the inevitable black. But Zac Posen's red is closer to coral than what we are used to seeing from the designer. And when combined with luxurious, traditional silhouettes he paid special attention volume and texture of the fabric. Beautiful, never boring.

I loved most that the shoes are the same colour as the outfit. In recent years that has faded out and usually now if you're wearing a red dress, you would not pair it with red shoes. Therefore I love the fact that Zac did display red with red and it is showing how good it does look.
