Valentino SS15 Paris fashion week

I really liked Valentino's show at the paris fashion week for their spring/summer 2015 collection. 77 looks paraded the catwalk, there was a piece for everyone. In a classically diverse array of sunshine-ready tea dresses, light A-line coats and wide-leg trousers, there was an even more varied colour palette. Deep reds and forest greens sat alongside fresh cornflour blue, angelic whites and frothy pastel shades. There was a fun, playful injection through sixties-inspired silhouettes. Classic styles were given a contemporary twist with pastel pinks, blues, greens and yellows which showed up in maxi dresses, mini shift dresses and playsuits. These have all been seen in the highstreet this summer with similar patterns to Valentino's.

As for the make-up, it was done by Pat Mcg Gathreal and hair was done by Guido Palau. The hair seems to be a quick look. Long, softly waved, centre-parted hair that was tucked ever-so-slightly behind the ears. It gave it a soft and feminine look which also gave it a summer 'everyday' feel which is what they were going for.

For the makeup, artist Pat McGrath said that the aim was to “make the girls look healthy”. This meant a slightly sunkissed blush on the cheeks and a soft stain applied to the lips. The trend of 'little' make-up in fashion has been showing through in various shows. This make-up look reminds me of the editorial chanel a/w 14 campaign. I love the natural glow in their faces.
