Chanel A/W 14 Campaign
The campaign, which features Binx Walton and longtime Chanel favourite Cara Delevingne, was shot in a boxing ring! The campaign, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, showcases the most luxe dreadlocks imaginable (threaded with tweed) with the most sought-after trainers of the season and I love it.

The tweed suits are out in force, but with the addition of tweed jumpsuits and holey jersey tracksuits. There were a lot of trainers, and padlock necklaces, and the whole collection had a very sporty, urban feel, still recognisable traits to the Chanel brand. I think the ponytail on Cara goes perfectly with this campaign. Being as it's slick back, it is still classy however the tweed rags and extentions give it a slight tougher and 'badass' look which then goes with the 'sporty' look they are going for. I think this did reflect on the highstreet and we've seen more slick back hair styles with possible crimped hair and ribbons attached to the ponytail, taking this trend and making it more wearable off catwalk.
Below is a link to a behind the scenes video of the campaign where you see Mr Lagerfeld, Binx, Cara and the rest of the amazing team, creatie this campaign. They show preperation of the shoot and also whilst shooting.

As for the Make-Up, Seems as if they went for a natural glow look. Not too dewy and not too matte. I feel as if they tried to make it look as natural as possible, bringing out their main features. As for Cara as seen in the photo below, They filled in her 'statement' eyebrows lightly by brushing them upwards. They applied minimal contouring however it still helped define her cheek bones and nose. Seems as if they highlighted the bridge of her nose, above her cheek bones, above her brows, cupids bow and her chin. They used a white eyeliner to bring out her eyes and also a peachy/pink natural eyeshadow complimented by some mascara and finally a pinky gloss which makes it look classy. I believe they went for this natural look because of the whole campaign and the 'sporty' feel its giving out, however also because it's become a trend to be wearing make-up but having it look as if you barely have any on.

This is one of my favourite photos from the campaign. I think Cara looks very 'badass' but also pretty and classy which is very powerful and I guess what they were going for.
